How to choose a book about the Titanic?

I never read one of them but THE BIG and THE BEST reference about the Titanic in english is "The ship magnificent" by Bruce Beveridge: Vol 1 (design and construction) and vol 2 (interiors desingn).
A little bit expensive: 100 euros the two, if you're lucky.
